Trio Arkaède

Flutist Karin Aurell is a chamber musician who lives in Sackville, New Brunswick. Born in Sweden, Karin had a long career as an orchestral player before moving to Canada in 2001 to pursue her dream of playing chamber music full-time. She is the co-founder of the woodwind quintet Ventus Machina, and she performs new music across North America with new music group Motion Ensemble. Karin teaches flute at Université de Moncton at Mount Allison University.

Violinist and violist Isabelle Fournier is principal second violinist of Symphony Nova Scotia in Halifax.  She is an active soloist and chamber musician and has made appearances throughout Canada, the United States, Japan, Taiwan and Europe.  For many years, Isabelle lived in London, England, where she was a member of the English Chamber Orchestra.  Isabelle is originally from Moncton, New Brunswick.

Pianist Julien LeBlanc is in high demand throughout Canada as a collaborative pianist, vocal coach and chamber musician.  He is acclaimed for his sensitivity and exceptional communications skills.  Originally from Cocagne (NB) he currently resides in Montreal.  His numerous activities on the Canadian musical scene include co-artistic direction of L’Été Musical, a summer concert series at the Historical Church in Barachois (NB) and adjudicating at numerous music festivals and piano competitions.
